St.Stephen's School

Class 4HA

Hello and welcome to class 4HA. Our class teachers are Halama Ali and Tess Brown.

During the Autumn term our topic will be ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’. This is all about how British people have come from all over the world. We will be studying Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings to learn about how they settled in Britain, and are the ancestors of many people living in Britain today. Tapestry was one of the famous ways in which these people produced art, so we will be producing our own tapestries using our initials.

Maths in year 4 will continue to be challenging. We will continue to work on our mental maths, the four operations, investigations, shapes and measures. By the end of year 4 we aim to know our multiplications tables to 12’s and related facts.

We have some really exciting visits this year which link directly to the work covered in various areas of the curriculum. These include visits to the British Museum and the Madame Tussaud’s 4D superhero attraction.

Class Charters

Each class at St. Stephen’s Primary School will complete a class charter, outlining agreements for members of the class and duty bearers (adults). All pupils are entitled to receive their rights. This class charter will form the basis of a display in class, be displayed on the class website page and also be used for class disciplinary matters.
