Class 6SR

We are 6SR! Together as a confident, optimistic and determined team, we aim to succeed and achieve in everything we do in Year 6. Of course, at the end of Spring term is our SATs tests and we are resolute in our ambition to prosper in these. Our journey there will include many other adventures and learning opportunities including: an educational visit to a Victorian school, a farm residential where we will be staying on a working farm for 1 week, exploring topics within our curriculum titled ‘ Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner’, ‘Blue Planet’ and ‘Theatre’. A year of exciting and extensive learning has begun and we are excited and thrilled to take on the challenges that will be presented.

 

6SR Class Charter

Each class at St. Stephen’s Primary School will complete a class charter, outlining agreements for members of the class and duty bearers (adults). All pupils are entitled to receive their rights. This class charter will form the basis of a display in class, be displayed on the class website page and also be used for class disciplinary matters.

1.     Give a compliment daily.

2.    Lean on others for support and provide it when you see / think someone is in need.

Expression

To share our views and listen to others.

1.     Be brave and let your voice be heard.

2.    Listen to and comprehend other views.

Courtesy

To be polite and courteous at all times.

1.     To all, say ‘Good morning’ and ask ‘How are you?’ and develop polite conversation from these.

2.    Always use please, thank you, sorry, excuse me, pardon and bless you.

Aspiration

To aspire and achieve to our potential and beyond.

1. To be relentless in a positive attitude.

2. To meet all targets and set new, higher ones.

Respect

To be respected, respect others, ourselves and our environment.

1.     Treat people how you’d like to be treated.

2.    If feeling disrespected, be firm and clear of your expectations.

Equity

Everyone receives the same treatment.

1.     See everyone as equal including teachers, parents and other children.

2.    Allow both girls and boys into the ball court.
